mindful movement practice
Below you will find a gentle mindful movement practice you can do at home*. Movement is a big part of our embodied experience so we use movement in mindfulness as another way to anchor our awareness into the body. Just like in our breath awareness and body scan meditations, we practice intentionally focussing our awareness into the body....here, focus on the sensations of movement. If you notice your mind wandering off then see if you can gently bring yourself back to the body by refocussing on the sensations of movement. We'll also practice some of the attitudes of kindness, acceptance, curiosity and non-judgement here.

So pop on some comfy clothes, find a mat or soft floor and let's practice being in our bodies and see what we discover.
