Trauma informed mindfulness and somatic therapy for stress and anxiety

Is it time to make peace with yourself...?

If the answer is yes, you are invited to embark on a supported healing journey with me, Claire, your compassionate guide.

Our work together may combine trauma-informed mindfulness based cognitive and somatic therapy techniques, hypnotherapy, breathwork + somatic yoga.

This is your time to lovingly reconnect with your body, befriend your mind, and move forwards more peacefully for the rest of your life...

I will be walking by your side, gently guiding you to lovingly reconnect with your body + befriend your mind as you learn to work both bottom up (with the body), and top down (with the mind). This journey will help you to make peace with the past, live in the present and calmly move forward into the future. You will learn how to help yourself feel safe in your body, ride the waves of your emotions and increase your resilience for a more peaceful journey of life. My values of curiosity, compassion, safety and empowerment are the guiding lights for this trauma-informed work where I am the guide, and you are the healer.

Re-connect

Trauma-informed mindfulness  gently encourages us to cultivate curiosity of our inner-experience to notice thoughts + feelings. We can learn to safely reconnect to the sensations in our body and read them as messengers for what our bodies need in this moment.

Befriend

Cultivating kindness and compassion towards ourselves is key to healing. You deserve to be friends with your mind and body! Combining cognitive and somatic techniques help us grow this friendship as we lovingly support our nervous system.

Heal

Learning how to turn towards difficult sensations, using focussed, non-judgemental awareness, movement and breath helps us learn to gently release trauma stored in the body. The key is teaching our body that it is safe now.

Since you've landed on my page, I'm guessing you have some sense, or inkling, that there may be another way to navigate this journey of life?

Perhaps you're tired of feeling overwhelmed, stressed and anxious? Or exhausted of swinging between stress and burnout? You may feel frightened of your feelings, and disconnected from your body?

You may have an idea that the past is continuing to effect the way you feel and live in the present, and that your body may hold the key to your healing....

and you're starting to wake up, you're getting curious, you're looking around for a way to move forward more peacefully.

Who is this for?

What is the format?

After speaking with you in your consultation, I will recommend a course of sessions; this may be an initial six sessions, but we may also extend this into longer term work. Six sessions is the minimum I offer since there is no quick fix to healing; the brain and the nervous system need commitment and repeated practices to retrain and retune.

Your 1:1 sessions will combine talking, nurturing practices (movement, breath, meditations, hypnosis) and you'll have resources to practice in between sessions.

Sessions are available either in-person in Salisbury, Wiltshire, or we'll meet online from the comfort of your own home.

When we start to look at your symptoms through the lens of the nervous system, you'll start to understand that your stress, anxiety or burnout are patterns that your body learnt to try to keep you safe...

Even if you don't recall or remember when you first felt unsafe, your body is like a book of your past, and your symptoms point to a lack of safety at some point in one of your chapters.

The good news is, your nervous system is flexible, and so just as it once adapted to danger, it can re-adapt to safety.

In your 1:1 programme, you will learn all the tools you need to create safety - the key to healing your symptoms and making peace with yourself.

How would it feel to know you make sense?
